Jai Khurmi

Jai is an experienced operator in the FinTech space - his expertise spans a multitude of business environments and functional areas including operations, strategy, finance, growth, business development and advisory. He has a strong passion for entrepreneurship and growing businesses, and has been a strategic advisor/mentor to a number of startups. At Spring, he is working closely with founders-in-residence, acting as a trusted partner to build and scale new ventures.

Prior to joining Spring Studios, Jai was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of an innovative peer-to-peer FinTech lending platform connecting SME borrowers with investors. He managed all departments in the business, and was responsible for spearheading growth, delivering operational efficiencies and driving commercialisation.

Jai started his professional career in Investment Banking, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) at Citigroup, where he was involved in executing multi-million/-billion dollar deals. After ~6 years, he went on to join Nested, a London-based, VC-backed PropTech/FinTech startup as one of the first employees, to help scale the business. Following this, he was a Commercial Director at THG Ingenuity, focussing on strategic e-commerce partnerships and projects with blue-chip clients.

Outside the realms of professional pursuits, Jai is an avid Formula 1 fanatic. As a sports enthusiast, he can often be found on the football field, tennis court, or pool table, channelling his competitive spirit.
