- Expertise: Course content designed by venture builders and iterated with founders
- Risk-free: No need to quit your job, and no requirement to continue working with Spring Studios post-program

How it works
Screening Phase
Once you’ve applied, wait for an email to confirm you’ve been shortlisted for screening, waitlisted, or rejected.
If you’re shortlisted for screening, you’ll receive a link to book a 20 minute call with a member of the Spring Studios team. On this call, we’ll quickly discuss a few questions based on your application - around motivations, your ideas, experience, vision.
Once complete, we’ll collate feedback, and you should hear back within a week or two whether you’ve successfully passed launchpad screening. In some cases, we may request an additional call if further questions arise.
Onboarding Phase
As the start date for the launchpad gets closer, you’ll receive instructions on how to join the platforms we use to operate the program:
- Notion: for taking notes, documentation, and sharing information with others
- Slack: for communication, announcements and updates
- Roam: for attending webinars, workshops, fireside chats
You’ll also receive all calendar invitations for the program, including kick-off/onboarding sessions.
Launchpad: Your first few weeks
In your first few weeks, we’ll be providing extensive webinars to take you over everything you need to know to get building your startup - including problem identification, solution design, getting your first users, how VCs think etc.
We front-load with content so we can get out of your way, and maximise the time you’ve got to get building. We also appreciate that startup development isn’t a linear path - so it’s hard for us to predict when a specific piece of content may come in handy.
Launchpad: In-Program
Once we’ve got the initial content out of the way, we’ll shift to more of an advisory approach - with the Spring Studios team opening up our calendars for 1:1s, and webinars focused more on chats with industry professionals (e.g exited founders), or talks from our partners.
Half way through the program, we offer the chance for you to receive feedback on your startup so far. This is in a format which we use to assess ideas internally.
Continue to ask questions, chat to us, and interact with the rest of the batch to get the most out of the launchpad!
Launchpad: Your last few weeks
In the final few weeks we’ll be providing feedback to you for those who submitted draft memos, and helping provide guidance around your pitch deck, business plan and additional insight on how to raise VC capital.
Pitch Night, Offers, Final Screening
We wrap up the launchpad with a pitch night. While somewhat ceremonial, this is a nice chance for you to showcase your work and progress to us and your peers.
We’ll all be taking notes during the pitches, and we’ll reach out post-program to those we’d like to discuss further for possible full-time Founder-in-Residence offers.
Founder-In-Residence Program
Once in the Founder-in-Residence program, we work with you full time for 3-4 months to further develop your startup idea with the full capability of our in-house core team.
We'll pay you a $5000/month stipend during this period, helping you build product, develop your customer traction, and incorporate your company. At the end of the program, if successful, we'll then deploy $150,000 in pre-seed capital to spin out your business.
Sound interesting? We’d love to have you there. Read our blog on what we need from you, or apply now.
